Dragonball Z

Bu Yuu Retsuden
"Dragonball Z L'Appel Du Destin" (France)

A one-on-one beat-em-up similar to the SNES games.
It goes to show just how unpopular the Megadrive must have been in Japan as this is the only Dragonball Z game for Sega's console yet at this point the Super Famicom had three and would go on to host a grand total of seven!

The presentation is better than the SNES alternatives but the graphics and sound are pretty much the same bar the lesser quality speech. Basically a standard Dragonball Z fighting game.

This game provided me with MONTHS of fun when I was a kid. It is interesting to mention that it came out around the same time that SNES had Super Butoden 2 released (which I admit is a far superior game regarding graphics and some gameplay specifics), and also this Megadrive game was the first one-on-one DBZ fighting game to have Krilin as a playable character... and he was one of the best!

Someone from my school sold me 500+ megadrive games w/ emulator on a CD for £5 back in 1999. The fuzzy graphics doesn't do the Megadrive any favors really, but I was listening to the b/g music for yeeeaarrs- I think it rocks! If anyone knows how I can get the soundtrack for this game in zip mode or whatever, email at setsumei@tiscali.co.uk
