Captain Tsubasa

Part III: Challenge of Kaiser
N/A

Captain Tsubasa makes the leap to the Super Famicom.

The game works in a similar way to the SNES Yu Yu Hakusho game. You control Tsubasa left and right trying to avoid the opposing players represented on the map at the bottom of the screen.

If you are confronted by them the action stops and you are given the choice of your next move. If you choose to kick the ball away you choose the area to aim at from the map and the action continues. While all this happens the commentator is narrating the action.

Not unsuprisingly this game was never available outside Japan, where arcade style footie sims are more favoured. A novel take on computer football and, as with the others, quite easy to play with out Japanese knowledge.

Pretty good, i like it, there was also a spanish version, i play it sometimes with my cousin, the graphics and animation seem right straight from the anime, even close ups and weird animated-strape-backgrounds when doing a super shot or aproaching with a stealing.
